Winter is Coming to Williamsport, MD and Hagerstown, MD!

Winter is Coming

As the temperatures continue to drop, now is the time to unhook your outdoor hoses from faucets. Removing garden hoses will prevent water in the hose from freezing and breaking the faucet. Take note, even if a faucet is in a building (but not heated), water will still freeze and cause damage to both the faucet
and hose.

Remember, not only should you remove hoses from faucets, but also remove the nozzle from each hose. Removing the nozzle helps to prevent water freezing and breaking it.

Lastly, don’t forget to drain your hose so that all water is removed prior to the freeze. A little work now will save you time and money (frozen faucets lead to hose replacement, faucet replacement, and pricey plumber repairs).

Curb Appeal

The Washington, D.C. Metro Area is set to be one of the nation’s top real estate markets in 2015, increasing at least 10%. If you’re thinking about selling your home in the near future, keep in mind that curb appeal is a HUGE factor for potential buyers. The “curb appeal” (including landscaping) can make or break the deal.

Potential buyers can come at any day, any time. According to
Forbes, “The tremendous importance of making a first impression can’t be overstated.”

A majority of buyers will make a quick decision regarding touring the property based on the external appearance. As a seller, you should want to have an outside that looks neat and inviting so that a potential buyer will want to take a tour of your home. As the experts will tell you, great curb appeal doesn't just sell your home quicker, but often adds value, as well.

If you’re selling your home, make sure to contact
