You ask why plant flower bulbs and I ask why not in Hagerstown, MD?

You ask why plant flower bulbs and I ask why not?

A flower bulb is a promise of spring!

We all eagerly await spring after a long cold winter, right?

Plant it and it will bloom! It will reward you for your effort.

You will watch each day in anticipation to see when the bulbs leaves start to emerge from the cold winter soil towards the end of winter.

The anticipation will build each day like a child waiting for Christmas or a pet waiting for their owners return!

Just the green color of the leaves of the bulb will lift your spirits after looking at all the gray and brown around.

A little green will do your soul good!

Would you like for spring to arrive with vibrant colors and fragrance?

After a long cold winter would you like to have BEAUTIFUL COLOR in your landscape beds?

The breathtaking color of all the varieties of tulips are awesome to look at!

Add some forsythia to the landscape bed(s) and you are in for a show!

Remember when your grandparents home always had Crocus blooming as a child?

Most other plants will still be resting when all the spring blooming flowers and shrubs awake to greet you.

By having spring blooming flowers you extend the season of bloom by having an earlier garden of beauty.

Others will follow after the spring bloom and allow you the opportunity to have other blooming plants  (late spring/early summer) follow.

There are varieties of tulips that bloom early, mid-season and late-season so with proper planning and planting your landscape beds  will “BLOOM with COLOR from March thur late May or beyond with proper moisture and nutrients from the soil.

Hyacinth, Daffodils, Crocus, Tulips are some of the types of spring blooming bulbs.

Daffodils in FULL BLOOM

Tommy Crocus is one of the first if not the first spring blooming bulb and will help attract bees as pollinators.

Some varieties of tulips and daffodils will also attract bees.

The wonderful fragrance in the spring air from blooming spring bulbs after a long winter cooped up is very invigorating to the body, mind and spirit as well to your eyes!

If Hyacinth are planted along a sidewalk/entrance to your home and along the street the fragrance will make your little area the most enjoyed by all passing by or visiting from the wonderful smell and sight.
