1st A soil test will tell us if the soil is lacking any nutrients and what adjustments need to be made.

2nd A Crabgrass Preventer will be needed due to the health of the turf along with a fertilizer to give what grass there is a boost.

3rd Late Spring a broadleaf weed control will be needed to kill all the weeds and another application of fertilizer so that new grass seed does not compete with existing weeds and has a chance to flourish.

4th Aeration can be done in the late spring if you are willing to keep grass watered. If you neglect to water the new grass seed it will burn up and die and not regenerate and is not guaranteed due to lack of moisture. Watering will have to be done all summer long if there is not the proper amount of moisture.

5th Recommendations of soil test will be viewed and discussed with customer. Not implementing soil test recommendations will only set lawn back and new grass will struggle to survive in hostile conditions.

6th  Spot reseeding may be required in areas disturbed by human and dog traffic and comes at additional cost if needed.

7th The rest of the Turf Management Program will be completed throughout the season to keep the grass protected.

8th Proper Mowing height is required as any stress on the new grass will not help and allow the soil to dry out.

For the best results customer should water lawn after aeration and continue to water lawn to accelerate growth of the grass seed and to help establish a strong root system. New grass seed can be disturbed by dogs walking on wet soil and rough housing on new grass and is not covered by any warranty. Dogs cannot pee on the new grass and this will hinder growth of new grass seed and cause bare spots in germination. Caution should be used when cleaning up dog waste as this will disturb the soil.
