The 2017 Michael L. Reid
Volunteer of the Year Award Sponsored by
Grosh’s Lawn Service
The back ground on the Michael L Reid Award.
Mike Reid has dedicated his
life to the Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Company and the Clear Spring Community
for 13,957 days of Mikes Life.
Mike joined the Clear Spring
Volunteer Fire Company on November 11, 1979.
Karen and I wanted to honor
Mike for his dedication and we found no better way than to name an award in his
honor and select a firefighter who goes above the call of duty as Mike has
demonstrated in his years of service to our community.
Past Recipients of the
Michael L. Reid Volunteer of the Year Award are:
2009 Frank Kimble
2010 Chief Michael L. Reid
2011 Rick Rowe
2012 Cheryl Brumbaugh
2013 Mark Schlotterbeck
2014 Kerrington M. Gray
2015 Zachary P. Reid
2016 Charles L. Mundey
2017 Charles L. Mundey
The firefighter selected has dedicated the past
25 consecutive years to the Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Company and our
community. He has spent 21 of these years as an Officer within this
organization. Uninterrupted dedicated service to a volunteer cause for such a
long period of time is extremely rare in today’s society.
