1. Mowing the lawn too short to keep from mowing the lawn as often.
2. Cutting more than 1/3 of the grass at one lawn mowing.
3. Not mowing the lawn on a consistent basis and thus allowing the grass to become tough to be cut clean.
4. Cutting the lawn with dull mower blades.
5. Allowing excessive grass clipping to lay on the lawn and not allowing the grass to receive the proper amount of oxygen and sunlight.
