Groshs Lawn Service

Grosh’s Lawn Service Tip of the Week # 270 June 16, 2019 The Eastern Tent Caterpillar is now active here in the Hagerstown MD area and this past week we removed several tree branches from a redbud tree at our clients home that had the silken tent nests. If left, defoliation of the redbud tree was possible as the eastern tent caterpillars were actively eating away.  Contact Tom today at GroshsLawnService.com to protect your trees from the eastern tent caterpillar here in the Hagerstown MD area and Washington County Maryland.

TENT CATERPILLARS You should also be on the lookout for tent caterpillars on your trees in the Washington County, Maryland, area this summer. If we can safely reach these insects, we remove the tent caterpillars by hand or Dave, from our tree & shrub care services, will treat them with insecticide. We do not believe in letting the tent caterpillars eat the leaves and do damage and cause stress to the beautiful trees at our home here in Clear Spring MD.
