As we look at the pictures below of the White Pine trees you will see, know thought was given to the trees mature size. This is a very large limb from the White Pine growing into the cable line and support wire As you can see from the picture below the entire one side of the White Pines tree limbs have been cut off to all for reliable power. What ever reason the White Pines were planted has been lost because the trees were not planted in the proper place to all the trees the thrive and grow properly. Tree Removal in Hagerstown MD and Williamsport, MD The Sugar Maple tree below was evaluated and it was determined that the tree was in declining health, leaning hard to the east (left in picture) and at risk of going over in a storm striking the power line and /or transformer. The tree cannot be saved. The tree was also planted to close to the power line. A NEW tree will be planted in the spring to replace this tree. This will allow nature to be balanced back out with a new tree planting. Grosh's Lawn Service Tip of the Week! Common Dandelion: This perennial overwinters as a small rosette of leaves. Seedlings grow from a taproot, and begin to emerge in early spring when soil temperatures reach 50 degrees F.  For early- season control of weeds that overwintered, apply a postemergent herbicide to turf early in the spring when temperatures are still cool. Every tree has a story. Each trees story is unique! The tree picture above had to be removed due to the tree was in declining health. The trees is said to be over 160 years old. The tree picture below is an October Glory Maple tree planted at our home. It is resting for the winter now. The October Glory was planted in honor of Dorothy Kunkleman, my wife Karen’s mother.
