WINTER IS
COMING
As the
temperatures continue to drop, now is the time to unhook your outdoor hoses from faucets. Removing
garden hoses will prevent water in the hose from freezing and
breaking the faucet. Take note, even if a faucet is in a building
(but not heated), water will still freeze and cause damage to both
the faucet and hose.
Remember, not only should you remove hoses from faucets, but also
remove the nozzle from each hose. Removing the nozzle helps to
prevent water freezing and breaking it.
Lastly, don’t forget to drain your hose so that all water is removed
prior to the freeze. A little work now will save you time and
money (frozen faucets lead to hose replacement, faucet replacement,
and pricey plumber repairs).

Gutter Check and Clean Out list is quickly filling. Remember that we
cannot guarantee and open and free flowing gutter with freezing
weather and temps below 32 degrees. Plus, even if you have “gutter
guards” there will STILL be fine shingle grit and small debris laying
in the spouting blocking the flow of water.
