Japanese beetles can really do a number on our roses, crape myrtles, and cherry and plum trees here in Washington County, Maryland. The adults feed on the leaves and flowers, while the larvae (commonly called grubs) feed on grass roots, so it’s safe to say that this is one bug you definitely do not want in your landscape! 

If you’re seeing any of the following signs, be sure to let us know; we’ll get you into our schedule as soon as possible to take care of it.  

  • Chewed upon leaves
  • Leaves with all foliage removed except for the stem and veins ("skeleton" leaves)
  • Dead or brown spots in the grass 
  • MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

  Local Clear Spring MD Lawn Mowing Service Google 5 Star Review for Grosh's Lawn Service Rhonda Stolins We don't regularly use a lawn service but our mower broke down and the man we used for vacations just retired. I contacted Grosh's because I remembered them giving away free TP in front of Scott's First Aid when Covid first started and you couldn't find a roll in any store. Tom responded right away and he and his crew came out and did a fabulous job. Tom was very courteous and we will definitely be using Grosh's again in the future.
