GROSH'S GRASS GAZETTE E-NEWSLETTER

We love April around here! It seems like April is the month when you can really see spring popping up all around, and even though it’s one of our cloudier months with more chances of rain, that means May will be all the more beautiful!

Easter falls on April 17 this year, and however you choose to spend it, we hope your day is filled with joy. And if you weren’t aware, Friday, April 22 is Earth Day — we never really need a reason to celebrate the earth (it’s kind of what we do here), but it’s always a good reminder to give thanks for our planet and the nature that surrounds us.

Grass Seeding
Did you know that April is National Lawncare Month? If your lawn is looking a little worse for the wear after this past winter, now’s the time to give it some extra love! This is particularly true if you’re noticing some weak grass, thinning areas, or even outright bald spots in your grass. You may need seeding or overseeding to fill it in and get ready for all of your outdoor summer activities. Make an appointment today and we’ll get you on the schedule!

Mother’s Day Landscaping
Pollinator Garden
Show your mom, wife, or another important mom figure in your life some love and appreciation for who they are and all they do! Mother’s Day is just around the corner (May 8), and one of these gardens may be the perfect gift:
  • Flower Bed renovation
  • New landscape bed
  • Pollinator garden
  • Peaceful seating area
We’d be delighted to help you plan this surprise, and if you have a special project in mind that we didn’t mention, just let us know. We’d love a chance to get creative with you.
Landscape Bed Maintenance
Yellow Daylilies
You’ve got those beautiful landscape beds, now let’s keep them beautiful! We know you like to do some things yourself, but when you need an extra hand or things have gotten out of control, we’re here to help you. Figure out the types of chores you either don’t have time for or simply don’t like to do and we’ll take it from there. Is one of these ringing a bell?
  • Weeding
  • Edging
  • Fertilizing
  • Pruning
  • Seasonal cleanup
Mulching
Mulching
Mulching is an essential part of a healthy garden, but it can also be a backbreaking chore a couple of times a year! If you have beds where the mulch is thin or even nonexistent, it’s time to address that. Mulching keeps weeds down, maintains soil moisture, and even helps improve the quality of your soil as it breaks down. Plus, it just looks nice, doesn’t it? Contact us soon to schedule your mulching appointment before the warmer weather sets in.
Pesky Weed Removal
Weeding
You know what we always say: Stay on top of the weeds today so they’re not a problem tomorrow (or next month or even next year). Spring is when everything is growing “like a weed,” especially all the weeds! We’ll remove them from your landscape beds before they decide to hunker down and call your garden home.
