Fall Mulching
It’s Time to Mulch

Did you start mulching and then lose energy? Or maybe the entire job still needs to be done? Don’t put it off—let us do it for you! It's more important than ever to apply mulch in the fall because, beyond keeping pesky weeds at bay and preventing soil erosion, it protects plants from moisture loss and temperature changes as we head into winter.

We're sure you have a long list of things that need to get done in your landscape before winter hits but don't stress because that's where we come in! We take care of all aspects of landscape bed maintenance, including removing dead perennials or downed tree branches and deadheading flowers. We'll even take it a step further by giving your trees and shrubs a deep root feeding or an oil application to prevent future insect infestations. Don't get overwhelmed by garden chores–email or call us! If you're feeling unsure, no worries. We'll help you. It's what we do.
Fall Planting

As temperatures drop in the fall, many people overlook their gardens, but now is the ideal time to add in some cool season annuals, install new beds, and plant for spring pollinators. Autumn's cooler, wetter weather actually means your plants will get off to a better start because they don't have to deal with the stress of hot temps, humidity, insects, or as many weeds.
Shrub Trimming

Are your shrubs looking a little haggard and overgrown after the warm season? We'll take care of lightly trimming and pruning those fast-growing shrubs before the snow arrives so they can have a fresh start come spring. Our skilled experts know exactly how much to take off to tidy up the overall appearance of your plants while ensuring their overall health.
Poison Ivy
Image of Poison Ivy
Have you ever heard the saying "leaves of three, let it be"? Well, that phrase is primarily attributed to the compound foliage of poison ivy with its three prominent leaflets. While the stalk of the middle leaflet is always quite a bit longer than the other two, the texture and shape of the leaves varies. However, a good tell-tale sign of poison ivy is that it loves to climb, and the vines are thick and often hairy. If you have this bothersome plant on your property, call us for help with getting rid of it!
