Life cycle: perennial
Growth habit: grows from 4 to 18 in. tall from seeds or slender rhizomes; trifoliate leaf arrangement similar to white clover or black medic but leaflets are distinctly heart-shaped; leaves pale green to purplish
Reproduction: seeds or rhizomes; yellow flowers with 5 petals; seeds explosively eject from pointed, erect seed capsule
Conditions that favor growth: tolerates shade and close mowing; common weed of turfgrass
Cultural control: regular mechanical cultivation in landscaped beds

  Local Clear Spring MD Lawn Mowing Service Google 5 Star Review for Grosh's Lawn Service Rhonda Stolins We don't regularly use a lawn service but our mower broke down and the man we used for vacations just retired. I contacted Grosh's because I remembered them giving away free TP in front of Scott's First Aid when Covid first started and you couldn't find a roll in any store. Tom responded right away and he and his crew came out and did a fabulous job. Tom was very courteous and we will definitely be using Grosh's again in the future.
