Now’s the time to make sure your lawn is in good shape for the upcoming summer months. Our lawns take quite the beating during summertime, with lots of foot traffic, hot temperatures, and summer rains. We can get—and keep!—your lawn in shape for all of your planned gatherings:
  • Mowing
  • Edging
  • Weeding
  • Fertilizing
This is our busy season, so please do make your appointment today to ensure we can get you onto our schedule! We want this year to be the best your lawn has ever been.
Prevent Those Grubs!
Nobody wants that unsightly grub damage on their lawns, from dead areas to thinning spots. Let’s get those grubs treated now so you won’t have to worry about it towards the end of the summer when that damage usually starts to show.

Father’s Day
Seating Area
The dads and dad-types do so much for us, how about we show them a little extra love on Father’s Day? Schedule an appointment for a lawn consultation or even to plan a special garden area for Dad—they will love it and always remember how much you love and appreciate them! Some ideas for you that we can help you with:
  • Plan a month (or more!) of lawncare so Dad gets some time off.
  • Create a special relaxing area in the garden for him where he can take a snooze and read the paper.
  • Support his bird-watching hobby by having us plant a flower/pollinator garden for him.
Landscape Tidy-Up
If you have any lingering clean-up from the spring, June is a great time to complete those tasks and mark them off your to-do list. It’s always a good idea to give the landscape a once-over each time the seasons change to make sure everything is in order for the coming season.
  • Brush removal
  • Removal of any dead plants
  • Cleaning up debris
  • Trimming untidy shrubs (or those that have just finished blooming)
  • Adding mulch
Weeding
Weeding
Did you know that June 13 is National Weed Your Garden Day? While weeding should happen more than one day a year, we’d love to do this task for you so your landscape looks the best it can. Weeds can easily and quickly take over a garden, creating competition for water and nutrients with your other plants. Give us a call so we can start kicking those weeds to the curb (or the trash can)!
Perk Up the Garden with Seasonal Color!
Impatiens
Annual flowers are sometimes just what your garden needs to look cheerful, hospitable, and complete. In our area, we have quite a few summer annuals for bedding and containers—these are some of our favorites:
  • Calibrachoa
  • Petunias
  • Celosia
  • Angelonia
  • Impatiens
  • Begonias
There are annuals for sun or shade, annuals that attract pollinators, and annuals in almost any color or color combination you can imagine—and we’d be happy to add them to your garden!
