FALLING INTO FALL
|
|
We had a fantastic summer and hope you had one as well! It's hard to believe that we are heading into the fall season.
Fall is a nostalgic time, as we remember heading back to school and college. It also means that we will start experiencing cooler nights, and fewer hours of daylight. Plus, we always look forward to the stunning colors of fall, do you?
With the end of summer, remember to be watchful for children and school buses starting on September 4, 2018 in Washington County Maryland. |

Grosh's Lawn Service was proud to donate school supplies to Salem Avenue Elementary School in Hagerstown, Maryland. We are honored to be able to make a difference in the lives of those with fewer resources, especially children. Read more on our blog. |

Now is the time to schedule your fall mulching in the Washington County, Maryland, area.
Did you know that mulch helps the soil conserve moisture even over the fall and winter months? If your landscape beds have only soil, it is time to add some organic hardwood mulch to those beds. Mulch helps provide trees, flowers and shrubs with the moisture they need throughout the winter.
Remember, if you would like mulch in the late fall, in time for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, now is the time to get on Tom's calendar.
Please do not wish for snow a day or two before Thanksgiving just to hide your lawn and landscape from friends and family!
Take a minute and check out Grosh’s Lawn Service video to see how beautiful your home can look for the holidays this year!

While we're looking ahead to fall, now is also the time to start thinking about spring 2019. If you'd like to add color to your landscape, contact Tom today for a consult. Planting trees and shrubs in the fall will help ensure a beautiful bloom when spring arrives!
Take a few minutes and watch Grosh’s Lawn Service spring blooming trees and shrubs YouTube video to help you select the colors that will enhance the appearance of your home. Then, email Tom to schedule your fall tree and shrub planting. |
|
Just because cooler temperatures are on the way, now is not the time to allow the weeds to continue growing in your landscape bed. Weeds will go to seed, multiply quickly, and begin to overpower the plants in the bed.
Email Tom today to schedule your weed control service. |

WILD TREES AND POISON IVY VINES
|
|
Be sure to keep an eye on your fences to keep wild trees and poison ivy from growing. Not only is it an unpleasant site, these vines can also permanently damage fences as they are difficult to remove if they have grown through the fence.
Remember, if you have a Grosh’s Lawn Service lawn care treatment program, it is unlikely that you will have this problem because our program treats both sides of the fence.
Watch Grosh’s Lawn Service wild tree removal YouTube video to see why you do not want to let the wild trees grow! |

LAWN TREATMENTS
For clients who do not have Grosh's Lawn Service maintaining their lawns, please consider having Tom and the team care for the health of your lawn also. Fall is an ideal time to treat weeds and begin properly feeding your lawn.
The grass will continue to grow into late fall and under-ground root development is possible with proper moisture here in the fall. While it may seem far away, you really do not want your lawn to starve going into winter because the soil lacks the proper nutrients.
Email Tom to schedule your fall lawn treatment. |
